About this file
This is a Statement of Work for global crop area, yield, and production forecasts derived from satellite imagery and observed weather observations.
The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), specifically the International Production Assessment Division (IPAD) and Global Marketing Analysis (GMA), requires an annual subscription to weather and production reports covering major agricultural commodities and top-producing countries. The contractor must provide monthly national crop area, yield, and production (AYP) forecasts utilizing satellite imagery measurements and observed weather data for the following commodities and countries: corn (U.S., Brazil first/second/third plantings, Argentina, EU, Ukraine, China, South Africa); soybeans (U.S., Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay); wheat (U.S., Argentina, Canada, Russia, EU, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, UK, Australia, China, India); rapeseed (Australia, Canada, EU, Ukraine); palm oil (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand); and sugarcane/sugar beet (Brazil, EU, China, Thailand, India, Russia). Monthly reports must highlight major global weather events affecting these cropland regions and be delivered in Excel format for download on workspace. The subscription service is provided by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Data & Analytics, continuing service previously delivered by Lanworth since 2000. The contract requires a 12-month base period beginning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with three optional 12-month renewal periods extending through June 30, 2030. Two licensed users with separate login credentials are required. The US Government will not redistribute reports, with access limited to FAS/GMA/IPAD analysts. No travel, key personnel, or security requirements are specified. Section 508 electronic accessibility standards are not required as reports are for internal use by 12 regional crop analysts, not public distribution.
