About this file
This document is a specifications attachment for a federal procurement of scientific laboratory equipment. The USDA is seeking one Dynamic Vapor Sorption Analyzer to be delivered to the USDA ARS Southern Regional Research Center (SRRC) in New Orleans, Louisiana within 10 weeks.
The analyzer must measure vapor sorption characteristics for scientific samples, specifically cotton byproduct-based biocomposite materials. Minimum technical specifications include humidity generation capabilities ranging from 0% to 98% (±0.5%) RH at 5°C to 60°C, and 0% to 85% (±1%) RH at 60°C to 85°C, with temperature control from 5°C to 85°C (±0.2°C accuracy). The instrument must include an UltraBalance Low Mass Assembly with 1000mg capacity and ±150mg dynamic range, Mass Flow Controllers with high precision and stability, and a Vapor Mixing Manifold with independent sample and reference chambers. The purchase must include a Computer Kit with all Input/Output Cards installed and configured, control software for system operation and experimental design, installation and operation training, and all necessary consumables. An additional requirement specifies that the instrument purchase must include a warranty and/or service plan. Delivery should be made to Stephen Rogers at the specified SRRC address.
