Description/Specifications/Description of Work Medford-Park Falls, Great Divide, equipment rental for motorized trail work.

Scope of Work It is the intent of this contract to rent equipment in order to, maintain motorized trails, to standard, in accordance with applicable TMO's.
Contract will be for one Tracked loader, one mini excavator and two trailers, one for each piece of equipment. The rental equipment should be around the #9,000lb range. Equipment maintenance and care will be as agreed upon from vendor in rental agreement. If equipment is damaged beyond "fair wear and tear" (FWT) the renter will be liable for the maintenance charges. All charges will be invoiced and submitted for payment before payment is made.
Payments will be received after equipment rental has been completed.
The Forest service will operate equipment with the over watch of certified trail equipment operators. At no time will a non qualified individuals operate equipment without supervision.

Specifications Contract Time:
Equipment is needed to from May 1st to August 30 2025. The Forest Service will pick up and drop off equipment in satisfactory order, IAW rental agreement.
Contractor Furnished Equipment:
Contractor is required to furnish, equipment in working order, with appropriate basic issue items, chains, binders etc. in order to move haul equipment.
Contractor is responsible for:
- providing quality equipment in good working order for use by the Forest Service.
- Have required safety equipment (spark arrestors, canopy, and fire extinguisher) on machines, if applicable.
Inspection and Acceptance:
Due to higher prevalence of invasive weeds along trail corridors equipment should be free of seeds, soil, vegetative matter, and other debris that could contain or hold seeds at the beginning of initial operations, before equipment is brought onto the National Forest.
Equipment may need to be cleaned prior to being accepted by FS personnel.
The Contractor shall notify the COR or field project coordinator with any issues as they arise.
