About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Kalispel Tribe Dike Repair project located in Pend Oreille County, Washington, issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The scope of work requires the contractor to dewater the site, provide erosion control, excavate the existing dike soil and stockpile it, remove the 36-inch diameter dike culvert and anti-seep collars (if in suitable condition as determined by the Contracting Officer's Representative), reset the existing culvert and anti-seep collars, place riprap and nonwoven geotextile around the culvert outlet, and backfill and compact the dike according to project drawings. An option bid item allows for installation of a new 36-inch diameter culvert and anti-seep collars if the existing corrugated metal pipe is not salvageable, as recommended by the COR and approved by the Contracting Officer. The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to perform the work; follow all federal, state, and local construction, safety, and labor laws; maintain responsibility for their equipment; and properly dispose of all debris and excess materials from the site. All work must comply with NRCS specifications referenced in the Engineering Handbook, Part 642, Subparts B and C.

The deliverables section provides two examples of reporting requirements, with Example 2 showing monthly status reports due by the 5th of each month and monthly cumulative BPA Call Order Reports due by the 10th of each month, both submitted via email to the COR. All written deliverables must be phrased in layperson language.
