About this file
The document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) for Bid #C006883 Epcot A7-B1 Generator Feed Tie, a specialized electrical infrastructure project. The project involves removing existing 15kV cables, installing owner-furnished 15kV cables, and providing 15kV splices in a specific manhole (EMH-EP33), with work sequences including de-energizing and cutting existing cables, providing pulling eyes, and removing cables between specific electrical manholes (EMH-EP33 and EMH-EP4). The project design plans were developed by Chen Moore and Associates, who will retain engineering oversight during bidding and construction.
The CFTOD has launched a new electronic bidding platform through PlanetBids™, which is free for all bidders and designed to ensure fair and open competition with bid transparency. The district offers bid preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses, and requires all vendors to register on the platform to submit bids electronically. Vendors can view documents without registration but must register to submit questions and bids. The procurement approach emphasizes transparency, local business participation, and a streamlined digital bidding process.
