PRICES PROPOSED
The FBI solicits your proposal for the MICRO Evolution Network Processors with Transit Cases as described in Description/Specification/Work Statement. All prices shall include any tax(es) applicable.
DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATION/WORK STATEMENT
BACKGROUND:
In accordance with Annex II to the National Security Presidential Directive (NSPD) -46/Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) – 15 (U.S. Policy and Strategy), the Domestic Guidelines, and the National Implementation Plan, the Attorney General, acting through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with other Federal departments and agencies is tasked to render safe a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear device within the Continental United states (CONUS). The FBI’s CONUS requirement will be in an emergency capacity which up to this point was the responsibility of the Department of Defense. This Rockwell Collins satellite system will be utilized as part of the emergency deployment response to CONUS threats.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The National Asset Response Unit (NARU) currently has three CCT-120 satellite terminals with iConnex 700 modems. These modems are not Digital Video Broadcasting – Satellite – Second Generation (DVB-S@) compliant. DVB-S2 replaces the DVB-S standard for satellite broadcasting and offer a improved bandwidth efficiency with 30% gain. The Evolution Network Processor with transit case houses a Evolution iConnex e800 modem that is DVB-S2 complaint. We must have the modem/transit case combination that is designed for the CCT-120 satellite terminal.
