1.0 Background
The Department of War (DoW) has a potential requirement to procure a single, pre-owned Boeing 700-series aircraft to support various mission requirements. The Government is seeking to understand the current market availability, aircraft condition, and estimated costs associated with such an acquisition.
The Boeing C-40C Clipper is a military version of the Boeing 737-700 used by the U.S. Air Force for transporting high-priority personnel (Cabinet, Congress, and senior leaders). It features a 777-type flight deck, flexible cabin configuration (42–111 passengers), and specialized communications. It provides reliable global transportation.
The Boeing C-40C is a versatile, medium-range airlift aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force, primarily for the transport of high-priority personnel, including members of the Cabinet and Congress.
