About this file
This is a printing services bid request from the Department of Management & Budget for the State of Michigan. The request seeks bids for the production of 50 receipt books containing 3,750 total receipts. Each book will contain 75 three-part carbonless sets (white, yellow, and pink), with three receipts per page for a total of 25 full three-part sheet sets per book. The finished receipt size is 7.5 inches by 3.66 inches, with an 8.5 inch by 11 inch sheet size. All receipts must be consecutively numbered in black ink starting with number 60301, with perforation between the first and second plies only, and a one-inch left binding edge with three side stitches. The receipt books will feature a 150-pound manila wrap-around cover with chipboard backer and will be packed in labeled cartons. An electronic file will be provided, samples are available, and proofs are required. All printing must be completed within the State of Michigan in accordance with Public Act 153 of 1937.
Bids must include detailed quote letters, with failure to provide such documentation resulting in automatic disqualification. The Department of Management & Budget awards contracts based on best price and value to the state, meaning the lowest bidder may not receive the award if concerns exist regarding past quality or ability to meet requirements. Only prequalified vendors are eligible for consideration. All bidders must be registered for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as of October 1, 2005, to avoid payment delays. Delivery terms are F.O.B. with no overs or unders permitted.
