The solicitation requests submittals from qualified consultants/contractors to provide comprehensive brick paver maintenance and new installation services primarily in the downtown Fort Myers area, with work areas spanning between Edwards Dr. and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and between Fowler St. and Monroe St. The project involves multiple service types including pressure washing, polymeric and masons sand application, paver removal and reinstallation, paver replacement using city stock or contractor-furnished materials, and new paver installations for roadways, crosswalks, driveways, and sidewalks. The contract will be awarded based on a points-based evaluation system considering the contractor's experience, project approach, pricing, and compliance with local preference and minority business enterprise requirements.

The pricing structure is unit price-based, with rates varying depending on the project's square footage (0-500 SF, 501-10,000 SF, and 10,000+ SF), and includes additional line items for material markup percentage and nightwork premium multiplier. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in historical and modern paver restoration, provide references, and show capabilities in working across diverse settings. The city has established specific insurance requirements, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability coverage. Local businesses in Lee County may receive preference points, and minority-owned businesses are encouraged to participate. The contract term and renewal options will be negotiated with the selected contractor, with the city reserving the right to terminate the agreement with 30 days' notice.
