About this file
This is a janitorial service specifications document for the Brewton Career Center in Brewton, Alabama, detailing cleaning requirements for their 5,250 square foot facility. The service period runs from March 1, 2025 (or date of award) through September 30, 2025, with nightly services to be performed five nights per week after 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A mandatory site visit and certification is required prior to bid submission, which must be documented with signatures from both the contractor and Career Center Manager. The scope includes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning tasks for offices, breakrooms, conference rooms, restrooms, lobby areas, corridors, and parking lots.
The document outlines contractor requirements including providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, with some supplies (paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, trash liners) furnished by the state. Payment terms specify that due to the fiscal year transition, October payments may take 30-45 days to process. No subcontracting is permitted without written approval, and contractors must maintain local service representatives. The specifications note that failure to submit references with the bid or complete the mandatory site visit certification may result in bid rejection.
