About this file

This document is a Brand Name Justification Memorandum for the Department of the Air Force Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, requesting procurement of 111 Lexmark adjustable printer stands and associated mounting hardware for the 76th PMXG. The procurement is specifically for Lexmark brand printer bases to support newly acquired printers, with the goal of preventing employees from placing printers on desks or shop floors.

Market research was conducted using Dynamic Small Business Search and System for Award Management databases, reviewing small businesses including 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, and Women Owned Small Business categories. An RFQ was issued to 70 2GIT vendors, with five vendors responding. Based on the research and time constraints, the contracting officer determined it is in the government's best interest to proceed with a small business set-aside acquisition, specifically requiring Lexmark brand printer bases under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The point of contact for this procurement is Mark Todd, reachable at mark.todd.7@us.af.mil.
