About this file

This document is a question-and-answer (Q&A) regarding an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) for the procurement of Men's Economy Sneakers. The contract will require the successful bidder to provide the sneakers for delivery to the MCE Central Warehouse Textiles in Jessup, Maryland. The IFB does not specify an exact quantity for the initial shipment, but indicates that average orders are between 180-240 pairs. The IFB also notes that the contract will be awarded shortly after the bid process is completed.

The Q&A provides details on the pricing structure for the sneakers, with sizes 4-12 and 13-15 priced at $11.98 per pair, and sizes 16-20 priced at $18.98 per pair. The IFB states that bids that cannot supply the larger sizes 16-20 will be disqualified. The Q&A also confirms that the MCE will accept palletized bulk shipments of the sneakers, with each pair packaged individually.
