About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details the relocation of the Bozeman Fish Health Center laboratory and office equipment from its current location to a new facility. The project requires a contractor to carefully relocate sensitive laboratory equipment, supplies, and office materials between August 18-29, 2025, with specific emphasis on specialized handling of high-end scientific instruments including PCR machines, flow cytometers, genetic sequencing equipment, robotic liquid handlers, and microscopes. The contractor must provide specialized moving services that include precise packaging, transportation using vibration-minimizing and climate-controlled methods, proper equipment stabilization, and meticulous placement according to an established layout plan.
Key objectives include demonstrating verifiable experience with packing and transporting scientific/medical-grade laboratory equipment, adhering to lab requirements for handling chemical containers and temperature-sensitive materials, and maintaining detailed documentation throughout the move process. The contract is a firm fixed-price type, with the contractor responsible for furnishing all necessary personnel, equipment, trucks, tools, and moving resources. The relocation must minimize interruptions to the center's work and ensure zero damage to equipment valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars, with a performance threshold of zero deviations from the specified standards.
