PAINTING OF SAFETY BOLLARDS, HYDRANTS, STREET & LAMP POSTS AND

HANDRAILS

The USDA ARS NCCCWA requires all labor, insurance, tools, materials, equipment, and travel be provided for painting of all bollards, hydrants, drum, lamp posts, street posts and handrails at 11861 Leetown Road, Kearneysville, WV. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained in this document. Davis Bacon Wage Rates apply.

1.0 Statement Of Work

Exterior Painting

· Work requires the prep, scrape and paint to match the existing color of safety yellow unless otherwise noted to the following listed items:

a. 50 Bollards (49 Qty. at Main Building, 1 Qty. at Broodstock Building)

b. 1 Drum (adjacent to liquid oxygen storage tank)

c. 2 Fire Hydrants (both to be Red in color)

d. All retro-flective tape shall be replaced with new

· Work requires the prep, scrape and paint to match the existing color of green to the following listed items:

e. 15 Lamp Posts (sidewalk, stair lighting)

f. 18 Street Posts (street, parking lot, Patio seating area)

g. 2 sets of Handrails (main entrance and visitor parking stair)

Contractor shall ensure worksite will be kept clean and orderly during the duration of work and that all debris be removed and disposed at a timely manner, along with protecting the site around the area worked from falling debris or paint, i.e. providing drop cloths to protect surfaces.

2.0 SITE ACCESS:

Work area is available for Contractor access between 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except Government holidays and weekends unless otherwise approved in advance by the Government Technical Representative. Contractors will be required to sign in/out and will be issued a visitors badge that must be worn at all times.

3.0 UTILITY SERVICES AND GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY:

Utility Services will be furnished by the Government for use in the performance of tasks in accordance with FAR 52.236-14 -- Availability and Use of Utility Services. Utility Services to be provided include water and electric. Restroom facilities are non-existent due to security access restriction of building interior.

4.0 PROTECTION OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY –

Contractor shall preserve and protect Government property. Any damage to these features shall be immediately reported to the Government Technical Representative and Contracting Officer. Damages will require restoration to previous condition, at no additional expense to the Government. All restoration activities shall have prior approval of Government Technical Representative.
