About this file
This file contains a Building Location Permit issued by the Bonner County Planning Department for an accessory building at parcel RP60N04W266001A, related to the State of Idaho Department of Lands' request for bids to construct a covered vehicle storage building at the Priest Lake Area Office. Permit BLP2026-0757 was issued on September 24, 2026, and authorizes construction work in accordance with Bonner County Revised Code requirements and the site plans and specifications certified in the application. The permit must be posted at the vehicular entrance to the property and remains valid until construction commences within one year of issuance or until work ceases for more than one year, at which point a new permit would be required. An optional pre-bid site visit is scheduled for September 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time at 4053 Cavanaugh Bay Road, Coolin, Idaho, with bids due October 22, 2026, and the project completion date set for June 5, 2027.
The covered vehicle storage building project includes a base scope comprising a covered storage structure with pipe bollards, 100-amp electrical service with minimum 20-amp outlet, insulated overhead door with electric opener, pedestrian door, and compacted gravel base, with optional add-ons including concrete floor installation, LED lighting units, spray-on urethane foam insulation, and roofing and siding substitutions. Public works licensing requirements are project-value dependent, ranging from Class D license for projects between $50,000 and $200,000 to Class C license for projects between $200,000 and $400,000. The Department of Lands will secure the Bonner County Site Permit while contractors are responsible for all other permits and regulatory compliance. Contractors must provide a minimum five-year warranty on materials and workmanship and demonstrate sufficient equipment and work crews to meet the completion deadline. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest combined total cost based on fully burdened lump sum pricing, with successful bidders required to return a signed contract with bonding and insurance certificates within fourteen calendar days of award notice.
