About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for window replacement and installation services at Building 4311, Dyess Air Force Base, dated June 1, 2026. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision required to remove and replace six existing window sections containing twelve awning-style windows with new aluminum fixed-frame stationary window assemblies. The estimated period of performance is thirty calendar days from notice to proceed, with work commencement required within ten days of material arrival following government approval of a material submittal. New window assemblies shall consist of two separate fixed window units per section with complete aluminum framing, glazing, anchors, sealants, flashing, and associated materials to ensure weather-tight installation.

The work encompasses demolition and removal of existing steel-framed window sections and all associated glass panes, assemblies, and materials, with the contractor providing their own dumpster for debris staging. Installation requires proper coordination with the Facility Manager and Contracting Office to minimize facility disruption, with building occupants responsible for clearing furniture and equipment from work areas at least seven days prior to scheduled work. The contractor must ensure all window assemblies are installed plumb, level, square, properly sealed, and free of defects, and perform any necessary CMU repairs and adjacent wall finish repairs. The work is subject to UFGS, UFC, ACI, NSPC, NEC, ASHRE, and OSHA standards. A one-year warranty from date of government acceptance is required. The contractor must comply with extensive federal regulations including OSHA requirements, fire safety protocols, confined space entry procedures, security clearances (Dyess Form 173), radiation permits if applicable, and cultural resource protection procedures. Working hours are normally 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding weekends and federal holidays, with advance notice required for work outside normal hours.
