Installation and Removal Services for Radios, MDTS and Affiliated Equipment on an Annual Contract

Please see the below summation of questions and answers for the above solicitation.

Questions Q1. The bid calls for the bidder to be an authorized Motorola service facility. There is no request for service to the radios rather, there is just a request to move and install them. Please remove this requirement from the bid.

A1. Please revise to say Motorola Certified Service Partner. This bid does include preventive maintenance as well as Firmware updates.

Q2. Page 3 states: “Professional Commercial Radios Mototrbo Model radios or similar with the ability to provide preventative maintenance along with Firmware updates.” Where in the bid document should service providers list pricing for the maintenance services?

A2. See attached.

Q3. Line Item 27 on Page 7-Multi Band Antennae: What bands/frequencies is the County running? And what other equipment will these antennae be attached to?

A3. Currently we are running on 800MHz. However, 700MHz would be beneficial for 7TAC emergency operations. The receive antennas are attached to TTA.

Q4. What length power cable is required?

A4. 8ft for the power console.

Q5. On line 19-Ledco Docking station power cable-what docking station?

A5. It’s a vehicle docking station for Panasonic Toughbook.

Q6. On line 21-EB-20 console bracket pk of 2-what is this for? Radio?

A6. It is the mobile radios mounting bracket.

Q7. Page 19, Sample Contract – what is this asking for?

A7. A formal contract is not required for this solicitation.
