About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for Gaston College Request for Proposal (RFP) #25-022, providing clarification on detailed specifications for manual production and ordering processes. The addendum addresses seven key questions about tab printing, online ordering, order submission, manual assembly, and packaging for student and instructor manuals. Specifications include using three-bank uncoated white 65# index tabs with reinforced holes, printing tabs corresponding to each chapter in the manual, and packaging student manuals in boxes of 4 with instructor manuals shipped individually.
The addendum outlines flexible online ordering options, including both password-protected registration for new users and open portal access. Order submission will have an approval mechanism where administrators can submit orders directly, while community colleges ordering through the portal will require administrative approval. Additional assembly instructions specify that tabs must be inserted into D-ring binders, spine and cover sheets placed in respective binder sections, and the entire manual shrink-wrapped. The tabs will be identical for both student and instructor manuals, ensuring consistency across the documentation.
