The solicitation seeks a qualified moving vendor to relocate approximately seven academic programs—Health & Wellness, Dental Hygiene, Veterinary Technology, Surgical Technology, Phlebotomy, Nursing, and Radiologic Technology—from two existing campuses (Cherry Creek Building on the Auraria Campus and Lowry Campus) to the new Boulder Creek Health & Science Center on the Auraria Campus. The relocation scope includes classroom furnishings, office contents, specialized medical and laboratory equipment (including X-ray systems, C-arms, mammography units, dental equipment, and simulation equipment), and faculty resources. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and facility walkthrough is scheduled for September 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with the first meeting location at Lowry (1070 Alton Way, Aurora, CO) followed by a 3:30 PM meeting at the Cherry Creek Building (1111 W. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO). Written inquiries must be submitted by September 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with responses published by September 29, 2026. Quotes are due by October 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and award notification is estimated for October 7, 2026, with a desired Purchase Order start date of October 12, 2026. The project is anticipated to be completed by December 31, 2026, to allow classes to begin in mid-January 2027, with potential phased moves beginning in late November 2026.

Respondents must provide firm, fixed pricing that includes all labor, supervision, transportation, insurance, fuel, equipment, materials, and other costs necessary to complete the relocation, with pricing submitted using the provided Appendix E Pricing Form. The pricing structure must include a lump-sum price for the complete scope of work, a detailed breakdown by major task or phase, hourly rates for additional services outside the base scope, and unit pricing for reusable moving totes and packing materials. Respondents must also identify all assumptions, exclusions, and optional services, and confirm that pricing remains valid for a minimum of 90 days following the quote due date. Mandatory requirements include demonstrated experience with at least three completed projects involving specialized medical and laboratory equipment relocation within the past five years, at least three comparable healthcare or higher education relocation projects, assignment of a dedicated Project Manager, and attendance at the entire mandatory pre-bid meeting. Minimum qualifications require five years of commercial relocation services experience, ability to provide reusable moving totes, labor, supervision, equipment and transportation, capability to perform phased relocations while maintaining schedule, and maintenance of all required Colorado licenses and registrations plus specified insurance coverage. Award will be made to the responsible respondent whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to CCD, with cost being the primary consideration, evaluated against criteria including cost and fee proposal, specialized medical and laboratory equipment experience, move approach logistics and schedule, comparable project experience and references, and qualifications of the project manager and move team.

1. SOLICITATION INFORMATION

A. Introduction

On behalf of the State of Colorado, the Auraria Higher Education Center is issuing this Documented Quote (DQ) for the Community College of Denver (“CCD” or

“College”) for Moving Services for the Boulder Creek Health & Science Center

Project

B. Background, Overview and Goals

CCD is completing construction of the new Boulder Creek Health & Science Center, with substantial completion anticipated in early December 2026. The new facility will consolidate multiple health science programs into a single, modern academic building, creating a centralized hub for health sciences education and improving collaboration between departments.

The move will include approximately seven (7) academic programs, including Health

& Wellness, Dental Hygiene, Veterinary Technology (Vet Tech), Surgical Technology

(Surg Tech), Phlebotomy, Nursing, and Radiologic Technology (Rad Tech). The relocation will involve classroom furnishings, office contents, specialized instructional materials, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, and faculty resources.

CCD is seeking a qualified moving partner to provide comprehensive relocation services for the transition into the Boulder Creek Health & Science Center. The selected vendor will work closely with the College and its project management team to plan, coordinate, and execute the move while minimizing disruption to academic operations.

The relocation will include specialized medical and laboratory equipment that requires careful handling, transportation, and placement. Due to construction completion timelines and equipment availability, portions of the move may need to be phased. The selected vendor should demonstrate flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple moves across several departments within a compressed schedule.
