About this file
This is a Bidder Questions & Answers document for RFP 260000001347, issued by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for title work services related to real estate acquisitions. The solicitation concerns title work services for conservation easement properties, with questions and answers addressing the scope and extent of title work required across multiple tracts of land. The DNR seeks full title policies for all lands being purchased, with one policy issued per county.
The primary pricing consideration is that the total insurance amount for all title policies is estimated at $47 million. Existing title work is available from previous landowner transactions, specifically from title commitments and owner policies dating from the 2019 purchase of the property by Lyme Great Lakes Timberlands from Hancock. Bidders are required to submit questions through the formal solicitation process as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders, with responses provided by the state in the Q&A document format.
