About this file
This is a Bid Tabulation document for Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC), a state entity in Georgia, regarding the procurement of one CNC Plasma Cutting System for the Welding and Joining Technology Program. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) was posted to Team Georgia Marketplace on September 12, 2023, and closed on September 25, 2023. CPTC received five bid proposals for this project. The solicitation required suppliers to provide a 4 x 8 CNC Plasma Table with a start-up kit containing all necessary equipment, software, and consumables for classroom instruction, along with mandatory requirements including a 2-year warranty, a starter kit with water table additive, and 2 days of on-site training. The bid tabulation was completed on October 16, 2023, with Octavia Thorpe serving as the issuing officer.
Techno CNC Systems, LLC submitted the lowest base bid of $35,123.01; however, the company was deemed non-responsive and disqualified from the award process because it failed to include all mandatory requirements (2-year warranty, starter kit with water table additive, and 2-day on-site training). Wm. J. Redmond & Sons Inc. was identified as the lowest responsive bidder with a total base bid of $42,900.00 and was recommended for contract award after CPTC's administrative review determined their pricing was reasonable, competitive, and within the College's allocated budget. The other three bidders—Technology International, Inc. ($42,900.00), Kipper Tool ($44,739.00), and Siak Enterprise, LLC ($47,870.73)—were not selected. The bid tabulation was approved by Lanie Jonas on October 16, 2023.

Coastal Pines Technical College Bid Tabulation for CNC Plasma Cutting System
RFQ# 81800-OTC0000035
Bid Summary: This bid solicitation was posted to Team Georgia Marketplace on 9/12/23 as a RFQ and closed on 9/25/23. Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) received five bid proposals for this project. Techno CNC Systems, LLC submitted the lowest base bid. After a review was completed on their bid submission documents, it was determined that the company did not include a 2 Year Warranty, a Starter Kit with the water table additive nor the 2 day on-site training with their proposal. Therefore, their company was disqualified from the award process. CPTC conducted an administrative review of the next low bidder, Wm. J. Redmond & Sons Inc. and determined that the company submitted bid pricing that was reasonable, competitive and fell within the College's allocated budget for this project. CPTC is recommending that their company receives the contract award for this project.
