About this file
This is a bid sheet for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's request for a plasma cutting machine system. The RFB number is 2600000175. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is soliciting bids for one (1) new plasma cutting machine with all system components manufactured and supported by a single manufacturer. The system must include a plasma power source rated at 460V 125 amp, a cutting table with a 5-foot by 10-foot cutting area capable of piercing and cutting up to 1-inch steel, a CNC motion control system, CNC software package with file transfer capability, Quick Cam Fabrication Nesting Package, and an electric Plateguard 55-gallon drum. The machine must be constructed of 3/16-inch steel and weigh a minimum of 6,000 pounds. The bid must include one full day of on-site training, setup, delivery, and installation, with the Transportation Cabinet handling offloading and placement. The proposed system should be equivalent in performance and construction to the Torchmate 5100 system. Vendors must specify their delivery timeline in calendar days following contract award.
Bidders must submit two separate line items: the price for the new plasma cutting machine system and a trade-in value for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's current equipment—a 2012 Torchmate Model S2 Plasma Water Table (5 x 10) in fair condition (VIN #228130, original cost $44,054.45). Vendors may enter zero for the trade-in value if they do not wish to offer one. The existing unit will be sold as-is, where-is and must be removed by the awarded vendor upon installation of the new system. The total bid price should reflect all costs associated with the equipment, training, and installation services.
