About this file

This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, overseen by the New Economic Development (NED) organization for a property located at 28 N. Jamaica Street. The scope encompasses comprehensive kitchen and bathroom renovations, including specific appliance installations such as a GE range, cooktop, and microwave hood vent; a Whirlpool refrigerator; Delta kitchen and bathroom faucets; an American Standard toilet and tub; flooring materials including Shaw LVP and carpet; an A.O. Smith water heater; lighting fixtures; roofing materials by CertainTeed; and HVAC components. The project requires adherence to detailed construction standards, including the use of new braided supply lines for plumbing fixtures, proper finishing techniques for trim and drywall work, laminate countertops with a 4-inch backsplash, and cabinetry constructed of plywood or better with solid hardwood fronts and frames. All electrical appliances must be Energy Star approved with LED bulbs, and contractors are responsible for protecting all surfaces and property from damage during the renovation process.

General contractors who are licensed, insured, and in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to bid on this scope, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. Bids must be submitted through OPENGOV only. The county reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency services limited to roofing and septic or sewer work. Contractors are obligated to use products that are like, similar, or equal in value to those specified in the scope. Interested parties should direct inquiries to Scott Sanchez at NED via phone at 850-595-0827 or email at jssanchez@myescambia.com for additional project details and clarification.
