About this file

This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project managed by Escambia County, Florida, specifically for 421 Petty Drive. The scope encompasses a comprehensive home renovation requiring specified brand and model materials across multiple categories including kitchen appliances (sink, faucet, range, cooktop, microwave, hood vent, and refrigerator), bathroom fixtures (vanity sink, faucets, tub, shower, toilet, and fan), flooring (luxury vinyl plank and carpet), HVAC components, roofing materials, windows, lighting fixtures, and a hot water heater. The project includes detailed specifications for installation standards, requiring contractors to use braided supply lines for plumbing, properly finish trim work through putty and paint, and tape and mud all drywall repairs. Cabinetry must be constructed from plywood or better with solid hardwood fronts and frames, and all electrical appliances must be Energy Star approved with LED bulbs. The scope emphasizes contractor responsibility for protecting all surfaces and property during work and obligates contractors to use like, similar, or equal valued products as specified.

General contractors must be licensed, insured, and in good standing with Escambia County to be eligible for bidding, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. Only bids submitted through OPENGOV will be accepted. Escambia County reserves the right to award individual line items for emergency services limited to roofing and septic or sewer work. Interested contractors should direct questions to Scott Sanchez at NED (850-595-0827 or jssanchez@myescambia.com). The project does not include specific contract term, renewal options, pricing terms, or funding source information in the provided scope materials.
