About this file
The document is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, involving comprehensive home improvements and appliance replacements. The scope includes detailed specifications for kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances, flooring, lighting, roofing, and other home elements, with specific brand and model requirements such as GE appliances, Delta faucets, Shaw flooring, and CertainTeed roofing materials. The project appears to be part of a county-managed residential rehabilitation program, with general contractors licensed and in good standing with Escambia County eligible to bid, and new contractors required to submit a letter of insurability.
The bid emphasizes specific installation and replacement guidelines, including using new braided supply lines for plumbing, proper finishing techniques for drywall and trim, and ensuring all electrical appliances are EnergyStar approved with LED bulbs. Contractors are instructed to use like, similar, or equal valued products and are responsible for moving furniture while protecting the homeowner's property. The project will be submitted through the OPENGOV bidding platform, with the county potentially awarding line items separately, particularly for emergency roofing and septic/sewer services. Contact for questions is Scott Sanchez at 850-595-0827, representing the county's residential rehabilitation program.
