About this file
This document is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, involving comprehensive home improvements and appliance replacements. The scope includes detailed specifications for kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances, flooring, electrical components, roofing, and structural elements. Specific brand and model requirements are outlined for items such as kitchen sinks (aluminum drop-in), appliances from manufacturers like GE, Whirlpool, and Delta, flooring materials from Shaw, roofing from CertainTeed, and various lighting fixtures. The project appears to be part of a county-level residential rehabilitation program, with general contractors who are licensed, insured, and in good standing with the county eligible to bid.
The bid document emphasizes specific quality standards for construction and replacement, including requirements for plumbing supply lines, drywall repair, cabinetry construction, and electrical appliance specifications. All electrical appliances must be EnergyStar approved with LED bulbs, and contractors are instructed to use like, similar, or equal valued products. The project contact is Scott Sanchez from NED, who can be reached at 850-595-0827 for questions. Bids are to be submitted through OPENGOV, with the county potentially awarding line items separately, particularly for emergency services related to roofing and septic/sewer work. New contractors must submit a letter of insurability agreeing to the county's requirements.
