About this file
The document is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, involving comprehensive home improvements and fixture replacements. The scope covers detailed specifications for kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances, flooring, lighting, roofing, and other home components, with specific brand and model requirements including kitchen items from Delta, GE, and Whirlpool, bathroom fixtures from American Standard and Delta, and flooring from Shaw. The project appears to be managed by the County's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), with contact information for Scott Sanchez at 850-595-0827, and is specifically focused on a property located at 350 Pine Ridge Lane.
The bid opportunity is open to licensed and insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County, with new contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. Bidders must submit proposals through OPENGOV, and the county may award line items separately, with a potential focus on emergency services like roofing and septic/sewer work. The specifications emphasize contractor responsibilities including furniture moving, surface protection, and using Energy Star approved appliances with LED bulbs. Contractors are expected to use equivalent or better products, and the scope includes detailed requirements for construction materials and finish work, such as plywood cabinetry, laminate countertops, and specific installation standards for various home components.
