About this file

This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, specifically for the property at 4520 Le Mans Way. The scope encompasses a comprehensive home rehabilitation project requiring installation of specified appliances, fixtures, and materials across kitchen, bathroom, and general home systems. Key items include kitchen appliances (GE range, cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator; Delta faucet), bathroom fixtures (American Standard toilet and tub, Delta faucets, Sterling tub surround, Aquatic shower), flooring (Shaw LVP and carpet), HVAC systems, roofing (CertainTeed Landmark), windows, lighting fixtures (Hampton Bay and Commercial Electric), and a 50-gallon A.O. Smith water heater. The project requires adherence to specific construction standards including the use of new braided supply lines for plumbing, proper finishing techniques for trim and drywall work, laminate countertops with 4-inch backsplash, and plywood or better cabinetry with solid hardwood fronts and side-mounted drawer guides.

All bids must be submitted through OPENGOV, and only licensed, insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to participate, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. The county reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency services limited to roofing and septic/sewer work. The contractor is responsible for protecting all surfaces and property from damage, moving furniture (with homeowners retaining responsibility for contents), and using only Energy Star-approved electrical appliances with LED bulbs. All materials must be like, similar, or equal in value to those specified. Contact information for inquiries is provided through Scott Sanchez at Escambia County's NED department at 850-595-0827 or jssanchez@myescambia.com.
