About this file
This is a Bid Questions and Answers document for contract EG-21-0002 issued by the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Athletics Department pertaining to the procurement of athletic and general use lockers. The project involves the purchase of new blue lockers for installation in three locations within the university's sports facility. Athletic lockers are available in three ventilated sizes (12x12x72, 18x12x72, and 24x12x72 inches) and must include legs with a maximum height of 6 inches, resulting in a total maximum locker height of 78 inches plus a sloped top not exceeding 10 inches, for a maximum overall height of 88 inches. General use lockers are louver style, measuring 12x12x72 inches, available in single or double tier configurations, and will be mounted on a university-constructed concrete base approximately 5 inches tall. All lockers must be welded rather than knock-down style and fabricated from 14-gauge prime, high-grade class 1 steel with single doors, with 18-gauge steel acceptable only for locker backs.
All lockers must be procured from a single vendor to ensure color, quality, and height consistency across all installation locations. The bid evaluation includes a percent discount for additional materials such as corner fillers and any extra components needed for installation. The specifications require exact matching across locker types and locations, with no substitution permitted between different manufacturers for athletic and general use lockers.
