About this file
This is a Bid Form for the City of Scranton's Debris Removal Project #9, specifically for the Leach Creek Culvert site. The project involves debris removal activities at various locations within Scranton, with a focused scope at Site #19C. The bid package outlines three primary work items: (1) mobilization and demobilization, including traffic control, water diversion, access road preparation, and environmental/safety measures, (2) removal of debris during dry weather to the water line, involving rock, stone, gravel, and concrete debris disposal, and (3) selective tree and vegetative debris removal within the channel, with specific considerations for protecting stream bank vegetation and accounting for northern long-eared bat habitat staging areas.
The bid is structured as a lump sum pricing model with three distinct line items, each with an estimated quantity of 1. The maximum debris removal dimensions are specified as 690' x 8' x 3' for sand/soil/mud debris. Bidders are required to submit pricing through the City of Scranton's e-Procurement Portal, with bids due by 10:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The project includes specific environmental and regulatory compliance requirements, such as obtaining necessary permits, following local and federal regulations, and adhering to environmental protection guidelines. Notably, the project dimensions and quantities are based on a 2018 post-stormwater event inspection and represent maximum allowable amounts that cannot be exceeded.
