About this file

This is a bid notification document issued by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) through the Euna Procurement platform for the procurement of traffic signal backplates. The solicitation seeks vacuum-formed backplates measuring 24 inches by 51-3/4 inches, configured as 3-section (1 wide by 3 sections) units constructed from black plastic .125 ABS material designed for 12-inch traffic signals. The solicitation number is 601310000100867. All potential respondents must monitor the TxDOT Procurement Portal at https://txdot.bonfirehub.com/ for addendums, additional documents, questions and answers, and any changes to the solicitation. Vendors are required to register through the Euna Procurement website to submit responses, with the opening date specified on the posting serving as the deadline for submittal; no responses will be accepted after this date and time.

The procurement utilizes the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) code system to standardize purchases and identify qualified vendors from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL). New suppliers wishing to furnish materials and equipment to TxDOT must apply to be listed on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities, while existing TxDOT vendors should verify their CMBL information is current and their applicable NIGP class and item codes are selected. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to Katherine Cornelius at Kathy.McDaniel@txdot.gov, with vendor support available through the Euna Solutions knowledge base.

USE OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING CODE

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) uses the National Institute of governmental Purchasing, Inc., (NIGP) code to standardize purchases by conforming to the class, item, and group structure of the code. The NIGP code is used to select vendors for our master vendor file from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).

New suppliers and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies and services to TxDOT should apply to be on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.

Existing TxDOT vendors need only be concerned that the information listed on the CMBL file is correct, and that the applicable NIGP class and item are selected for those you can provide.

CMBL information is available online at: https://comptroller.texas.gov/purchasing/vendor/cmbl/ or by phoning 512-463-3459.
