The project encompasses full design, documentation, and construction of a complete, integrated facility that consolidates all rental car company functions into a single complex, including planning, design coordination, preparation of technical documents for regulatory review, and construction to ensure long-term facility performance. The facility will be located south of the existing Terminal A parking garage as part of Sacramento International Airport's $1.4 billion SMForward capital expansion program. The RFQ was released on May 29, 2026, with a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for June 15, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. Questions must be submitted by July 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with responses provided by July 21, 2026, at 11:55 p.m. The proposal submission deadline is August 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with contractor selection scheduled for October 9, 2026.
