About this file

This Request for Information #1 document is issued by the School Board of Marion County, Florida, in response to vendor questions regarding Bid #4163GM for a sewage pump truck tank system purchase. The project involves procuring a comprehensive pump tank and jetter system to be mounted on a 2027 Mack Granite 64-foot truck chassis supplied by the District. The awarded vendor is responsible for pickup, delivery, and installation of the system, which includes an EAM VTAJ Multi Axle 4,600-gallon aluminum vacuum tank with dual compartments (4,200-gallon waste and 400-gallon water capacities), an NVE 4310 gearbox-driven blower package, a hot shift PTO system, and a triplex plunger jetter system rated at 12 GPM up to 4,000 PSI. The question deadline is November 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with bid submissions due by December 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM through VendorLink. The contract term extends from Board approval on January 13, 2026, through project completion and inspection by the Technical Services Department.

The three questions addressed in this Request for Information document clarify critical specification details: confirmation that the 450-foot 1.2-inch hose reel mounted on top of the tank allows for alternate mounting locations, direction to the Granite truck specifications document for chassis details and equipment fit verification, and reference to truck specifications for transmission model and PTO port information. Bidders must comply with Florida Preference requirements under 287.084, Florida Statutes, maintain Florida business registration, provide financial references including Dunn & Bradstreet information, submit W-9 forms, manufacturer's authorization letters, proof of required licenses and certifications, and insurance certificates with minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000. The School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may award the contract by item, group, or through primary and secondary suppliers, with standard payment terms of net thirty days upon complete receipt and acceptance of items meeting specified requirements.

Bid # 4163GM, Pump Truck Tank System Purchase

Request for Information #1

This document was created to provide information for questions received via VendorLink pertaining to this ITB.

QUESTION #1:

Our engineering team has not previously seen a hose reel mounted on top of the tank. Could you please clarify the intent behind this placement? The 450` × 1.2" reel is quite large, so we’d like to confirm whether the specifications allow for an alternate mounting location.

Please see the pictures included on the following page of this document for a visual example of what is being requested.

QUESTION #2:

Is there a way to view the Granite Specifications to determine CT, axle placement, etc. We need to know how the equipment will fit on the frame.

Please see the document titled, “Bid 4163GM Pump Truck Tank System Purchase – TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS” available on the VendorLink page for this ITB.

QUESTION #3:

What is the transmission model and PTO ports or options available?

Please see the document titled, “Bid 4163GM Pump Truck Tank System Purchase – TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS” available on the VendorLink page for this ITB.
