About this file
This document is Instructions to Respondents issued by the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for solicitation number 302-27-254855, titled "FY27 Tools and Essential Gear." The solicitation is managed through the Bonfire procurement platform accessible at https://texasoag.bonfirehub.com/. Vendors interested in responding must register through the Bonfire website, with step-by-step registration instructions and video guidance available through the Bonfire vendor support portal. The document does not specify product quantities, response deadlines, due dates, site visits, bidder conferences, award dates, or contract terms; these details are referenced as being available on the OAG Procurement Portal itself rather than in this instruction document.
The Texas OAG utilizes the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) code to standardize procurement by conforming to class, item, and group structures. The NIGP code is used to select vendors from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL) for the master vendor file. Prospective suppliers and vendors should apply to be included on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities, while existing vendors should verify that their information on the CMBL is current and that applicable NIGP class and item codes are correctly selected for the products and services they can provide. The document contains no information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding amounts, or other financial details.

USE OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING CODE
The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) uses the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP) code to standardize purchases by conforming to the class, item, and group structure of the code. The NIGP code is used to select vendors for our master vendor file from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).
New suppliers and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies, and services to OAG should apply to be on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.
Existing vendors need only be concerned that the information listed on the CMBL file is correct, and that the applicable NIGP class and item are selected for those that you can provide.
