About this file
This document is an Instructions to Respondents file issued by the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for Solicitation Number 302-27-254618, titled "FY27 Backpacks and Tactical Gear." The solicitation seeks vendors to supply backpacks and tactical gear, with specific details regarding quantities, delivery schedules, and response requirements available through the OAG Procurement Portal at https://texasoag.bonfirehub.com/. Prospective vendors must register through the Bonfire website to submit responses, with step-by-step registration instructions and video guidance available through the vendor support portal at https://vendorsupport.gobonfire.com/. General Bonfire support resources are accessible to assist vendors throughout the registration and submission process.
The OAG utilizes the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) code system to standardize purchases and identify qualified vendors from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL). New suppliers interested in furnishing materials, equipment, supplies, and services to the OAG must apply to be listed on the CMBL to receive future bidding opportunities. Existing vendors should verify that their information on the CMBL file is current and that they have selected the applicable NIGP class and item codes corresponding to the products and services they can provide. Additional information regarding the CMBL is available at https://comptroller.texas.gov/purchasing/vendor/cmbl/.

USE OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING CODE
The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) uses the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP) code to standardize purchases by conforming to the class, item, and group structure of the code. The NIGP code is used to select vendors for our master vendor file from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).
New suppliers and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies, and services to OAG should apply to be on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.
Existing vendors need only be concerned that the information listed on the CMBL file is correct, and that the applicable NIGP class and item are selected for those that you can provide.
