About this file

This document consists of Instructions to Respondents issued by the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for Solicitation Number 302-26-019334, titled "FY26 Concealable Body Armor." The solicitation is administered through the Bonfire procurement platform accessible via the OAG Procurement Portal at https://texasoag.bonfirehub.com/. Vendors must register through the Bonfire website to submit responses, with step-by-step registration instructions and video guidance available through Bonfire's vendor support portal. The document does not specify product quantities, response deadlines, due dates, site visits, bidder meetings, award dates, or contract terms.

The document emphasizes that the Texas OAG utilizes the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) code to standardize purchases and select vendors from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL). New suppliers seeking to furnish materials, equipment, supplies, and services to OAG must apply to be listed on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities. Existing vendors are required to ensure their CMBL information is current and that applicable NIGP class and item codes are properly selected. No information regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding sources, or amounts is provided in this instructional document.

USE OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING CODE

The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) uses the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP) code to standardize purchases by conforming to the class, item, and group structure of the code. The NIGP code is used to select vendors for our master vendor file from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).

New suppliers and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies, and services to OAG should apply to be on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.

Existing vendors need only be concerned that the information listed on the CMBL file is correct, and that the applicable NIGP class and item are selected for those that you can provide.

CMBL information is available online at:
