The vehicle must feature only two full-size doors and all deviations from specifications must be clearly marked. The bid opening is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. EST. The City reserves the right to purchase additional units at the same price until July 31, 2026. Bidders must submit sealed proposals using the provided form, with the bid number clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Proposals must be received by the specified date and time, with no bids considered if received after the deadline. The award of the contract will be made by the City of Valdosta Mayor and Council if the total purchase exceeds $25,000.

The specifications establish minimum requirements for the truck including an 8-cylinder gasoline engine (5.0L to 5.7L), heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission with four-wheel drive, 12-volt electrical system with heavy-duty alternator, power steering and brakes, 17-inch minimum wheels with all-season radial tires, bright white exterior color, fleet-side bed (approximately 6.5 feet), minimum 6,500 lbs. gross vehicle weight rating, and a 20-gallon fuel tank minimum. The vehicle must include factory-installed air conditioning and heater/defroster, AM/FM radio with Bluetooth and 12-volt power outlets, tinted glass, weather tech mats with rubber flooring, heavy-duty shock absorbers, chrome bumpers, towing package with CLASS IV trailer hitch rated for 5,000 lbs., diamond-plated tool box with one-piece lockable lid (delivered uninstalled), and Line X spray-in bed liner with UV protection. All pricing must be FOB Valdosta, Georgia, and inclusive of delivery. Bidders must submit manufacturer build sheets and product literature with their proposals; bids submitted without documentation will be deemed non-compliant. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder considering quality, performance, and delivery time. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act Affidavit must accompany all bids.
