About this file

This document is an Instructions to Respondents file for the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) Solicitation Number 302-25-015924, titled "FY25 State Office Window Shades IFB." The solicitation seeks window shades for state office buildings, and all solicitation information and vendor responses must be submitted through the OAG Procurement Portal at https://texasoag.bonfirehub.com/ using the Bonfire platform. Vendors must register through the Bonfire website to participate, with step-by-step instructions and video tutorials provided through Bonfire's vendor support system.

The OAG utilizes the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) code system to standardize purchases and select vendors from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL). New suppliers wishing to provide materials, equipment, supplies, and services to the OAG must apply to be included on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities, while existing vendors need to ensure their information and applicable NIGP classifications are current and accurate. The document emphasizes the importance of proper NIGP code selection for vendors to ensure they receive relevant solicitation opportunities.

USE OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING CODE

The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) uses the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP) code to standardize purchases by conforming to the class, item, and group structure of the code. The NIGP code is used to select vendors for our master vendor file from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).

New suppliers and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies, and services to OAG should apply to be on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.

Existing vendors need only be concerned that the information listed on the CMBL file is correct, and that the applicable NIGP class and item are selected for those that you can provide.

CMBL information is available online at:
