QUESTIONS

BEP-RFQ-12-0064

1. I see in the body of the notice that this product may be procured in 55 gl. drums or bulk loads. Are you going to make an award to one vendor for both sizes or will this be all in one? To be more specific, we can deliver 55 gl drums and bulk ‘totes’ (330 gls size totes on pallets) but territorial wise we cannot provide transport trucks of this product in DC. With this restriction, would we still be eligible to quote? Thank you, ANSWER:

The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be an “all or none” award. 330gls size totes on pallets would not be acceptable for “bulk” delivery. As specified in “attachment (a)” page 7, section 5.0 (PEPARATION FOR

DELIVERY)

5.1 Bulk Shipments. Sodium hydroxide solution, BEP stock number 2A000580 shall be delivered in clean tank trucks to prevent contamination of the solution. The quantity of sodium hydroxide solution for delivery to BEP shall be in accordance with the purchase order. Typically, sodium hydroxide solution delivery ranges from 3,500 to 4,500 gallons per tank truck. Specific delivery locations and information on delivery will be provided by the

BEP. The maximum length and height of the truck and the bulk tanker that BEP can accommodate is limited to

54 feet and 12 feet, respectively.

Items not meeting the above specification can be considered as “not meeting the technical specifications of the

RFQ”.

2. We would like to know what was the bid amount awarded for last year’s bid.

ANSWER:

Submitted bid amounts are consider proprietary information to each specific vendor and dissemination of that information may be considered as an improper business practice. This information may be obtained thru a
