Bearings RFI NIINs.xlsx

This is a Request for Information (RFI) supporting document containing a detailed list of bearing National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs) and associated procurement data for the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation). The spreadsheet identifies 522 distinct bearing line items across Federal Supply Class (FSC) codes 3110, 3120, and 3130, encompassing various bearing types including ball bearings, roller bearings, bushings, and bearing assemblies. Each NIIN is paired with its FSC classification, nomenclature, and annual demand quantity, with annual demands ranging from 0 to 8,010 units across the portfolio.

The bearing types represented in this RFI include annular ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, needle roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, self-aligning bearings, plain rod end bearings, thrust washers, cam followers, and bearing housing units. High-demand items include NIIN 010639810 (plain cam follower bearing) with 8,010 annual units, NIIN 012068699 (plain self-aligning bearing) with 7,445 units, NIIN 016745116 (roller needle bearing) with 6,939 units, and NIIN 012443874 (bearing sleeve) with 6,749 units. This RFI is issued by DLA Aviation to assess market capabilities and supplier interest in providing these bearing components, likely supporting broader procurement reform initiatives within the bearings supply chain.
