The Owner will award contracts on or about July 20, 2026, to separate prime contractors for individual bid divisions or combinations thereof. All contracts are direct agreements between the Owner and the contractor, with overall project administration managed by Wolgast Corporation as the Construction Management Firm.

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid is required, submitted as a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order from a qualified surety authorized to conduct business in Michigan. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the bid date, and successful bidders may be required to furnish additional Surety Bonds as specified in project specifications. All bidders must provide a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and a signed Iran Business Relationship Affidavit in compliance with Michigan's Iran Economic Sanctions Act. One set of bidding documents will be provided at no cost through Wolgast Corporation. Facsimile bids will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and waive informalities or irregularities in bid proposals. Advertisement for Bids for Beal City Public Schools

Project Information Sealed bid proposals will be accepted from qualified contractors by Beal City Public Schools for Beal City Public Schools for the Bid Pack No. 4 - Series 2 Summer 2027 Renovations.

Proposals may be mailed or delivered in person to Jason Wolf, Superintendent, C/o Beal City Public Schools, 3180 West Beal City Road, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or via Building Connected.

Pre-Bid Meeting A pre-bid meeting and project walk-through will be conducted by the Construction Manager, Wolgast Corporation, and the Architect, Integrated Designs, Inc., on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM (local time) at the Beal City High School Atrium located at 3180 West Beal City Road, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858.

Bid Information Proposals must be received prior to 11:00 AM (local time) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Beal City Public Schools Administration Office located at 3180 West Beal City Road, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or Electronic Sealed Bidding via Building Connected: (https://app.buildingconnected.com/login?retUrl=%2F). Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:05 AM in the Beal City Public Schools located at 3180 West Beal City Road, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 and virtually utilizing Microsoft Teams Meeting: https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/21717384645464?p=kwHUo2XWOulCqfFIiL, Meeting ID: 217 173 846 454 64, Passcode: Mz2Zg6i8. All bids received after 11:00 AM on the bid date will not be accepted and will be returned to the Bidder unopened.

Proposals and Award The Project will utilize separate prime contractors. All contracts for construction will be direct contracts with the Owner. Overall administration of the Project will be the responsibility of the Construction Management Firm, Wolgast Corporation. The Owner will award contracts on or about July 20, 2026, to separate prime contractors for separate bid divisions or combinations of bid divisions. All bids shall be submitted on the bid forms provided in the project specifications, completely filled in, and executed (copies of the bid forms are acceptable). Facsimile bids will not be accepted.

Plans and Questions Requests by Contractors for inclusion as Bidders shall be addressed to the Project Manager, Craig Myers, at Wolgast Corporation. One (1) set of Bidding Documents will be provided to each contractor at No Cost through Wolgast Corporation. Plans may be obtained by contacting the Project Administrator, Judy Rauch, at Wolgast Corporation via email at jrauch@wolgast.com. All questions regarding the bidding procedures, design, and drawing/specification intent are to be directed to the Construction Manager on a Clarification Request Form (Section 00310), attention Craig Myers (cra.mye@wolgast.com) and Judy Rauch (jrauch@wolgast.com).

Bid Security A Bid Security by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany each proposal or proposal combination. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Successful Bidders may be required to furnish Surety Bonds as stated in the Project Specifications (Section 00600).

Familial Disclosure All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or the employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive officer of the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement.

Iran Business Relationship Affidavit All bidders must provide a signed Iran Business Relationship Affidavit. Effective April 1, 2013 all bids, proposals, and/or qualifications statements received in the State of Michigan must comply with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, 2012 P.A. 517. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this signed affidavit.

Owners’ Rights The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bid proposals, which they feel to be in their own best interest.
