About this file

This is a Wisconsin Department of Administration Simplified Bidding Record and Purchase Order Request for a project conducted by WisDOT SE Region Traffic Operations in Racine County, Wisconsin. The procurement was managed by Tom Heydel at WisDOT's SE Region office in Waukesha, with Arbor Green of Portage, Wisconsin serving as the selected contractor. The bidding process involved soliciting quotes from three suppliers, though only one responsive bid was received due to COVID-19 restrictions limiting sealed bid submissions.

The contract covers the furnish and installation of two solar-powered crossroad warning sign beacon assemblies at STH 38 and 4 Mile Road, with a total value of $13,000 ($6,500 per unit). The scope includes TAPCO Model 373-01299 12-inch yellow beacons with visors, Type I poles, Type 2 concrete footings, W2-1 crossroad warning signs (36" x 36"), and W13-1 speed plaques (45 MPH). Additional work involves relocating the existing northbound static sign to the left side of the roadway and removing the southbound static sign. The contract includes a 45-day completion timeline, one-year warranty, and requires the contractor to submit shop drawings and certificates of compliance prior to work commencement. Work zone traffic control and coordination with Wisconsin's Lane Closure System (LCS) are also required components of the project.
