BCF Solutions, Inc, S4 Tech Division 22831 Silverbrook Center Drive #135 Sterling, VA 20166-4382 703-956-9088/fax 571-313-8536 www.bcfsolutions.com admin@bcfsolutions.com GSA Contract: GS07F-0439U

The Security Observation Set (SOS) developed by S4 Tech provides a modular layered security system for the reliable, cost effective protection of assets ranging from small 3-5 man teams to mid-sized camps and forward operating bases. Each individual SOS kit provides a base station for command and control, rugged low light cameras, video recording with adjustable motion detection, and S4 Tech’s video/power/data over CAT-5 technology. A host of accessory kits including IR illumination, thermal cameras, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, intrusion and perimeter detection sensors, radar, remote PC, tablet, or cell phone monitoring, and scrambled wireless capabilities are available based on mission requirements. SOS systems can be networked together or integrated with other command and control systems via several interface options including the Cursor on Target and SEIWG 0100 protocols to provide mission scalable security and surveillance systems for most applications. SOS systems have been supplied to US Government customers including the DoD, Dept of State, and Dept. of Homeland Security.

The SOS utilizes ATEC tested cameras and sensors and is a rapidly-deployable security and surveillance system that has been designed to be portable, rugged, cost effective, easy to install in the field, and easy to maintain. The SOS Base Kit comes with 4 or 8 rugged low-light camera modules with built-in circuitry for remote video and power at distances up to 1000m using standard CAT-5 cabling. This allows even untrained individuals to install the system with no additional power required at the remote camera/sensor locations as with most systems. SOS capabilities include video motion detection, external alarm inputs, NTSC,VGA, or HDMI outputs, IP networking, remote browser viewing and control, and digital video recording and playback of both scheduled archives and alarm clips. The SOS also supports network based remote viewing and email alerts. The SOS Base Kit, minus the CAT-5 network cabling, is packaged in a single portable rugged transport case which meets all airline transport requirements.

SOS System Description:

The SOS Base Kit comes with 8 camera channels and either 4 or 8 cameras. Each rugged low light camera module is connected to the base station via a single standard CAT-5 cable which delivers both video and power up to 1000m. Power to the SOS system is provided by a single 100-240VAC or 10-30VDC power supply. Installation of the rugged low light camera modules requires only mounting the module to a wall or pole and connecting a single standard CAT-5 cable with RJ-45 connector through the weather-resistant connector on the module.

Each remote camera module can connect to and power an intrusion detection sensor and relay the corresponding alarms back to the base station. All cameras and sensors are built to withstand rugged outdoor and electrical environments. As seen in the figure below, a variety of accessories are available such as thermal, PTZ, and other types of cameras, intrusion detection sensors (door/window, PIR, break-wire, seismic, microwave), ground based radars, various IR illuminators, wireless links, remote command and control PC or tablet, and an indoor wireless intrusion detection subsystem. All connected accessories are powered and connected via the CAT-5 infrastructure. Please see our website or GSA schedule for more information on these accessories.

Along with integrated power distribution, networking, and signal routing equipment, the base station includes a triplex Digital Video Recorder (DVR) which allows for simultaneous live video viewing, motion detection, video recording, and video playback of all cameras and alarms. Pre-alarm and post-alarm recording limits can be set so that no action is missed upon alarm activation. An “instant record” mode is activated by push button.

Video clips may be transferred to permanent media through a CD-RW burner or any other USB device.

The SOS system supports networking, remote viewing and control, email alerts, and cell phone/PDA streaming. As seen in the figure below, a software package is available that allows up to 64 networked SOS systems to be remotely controlled and monitored. The SOS system is compatible with the Cursor on Target and SEIWG 0100 protocols for integration with other C2 systems.
