About this file
This document is an Addendum #2 for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Bladen Community College for a Campus Wide Security Upgrade project. The addendum provides clarifications and additional requirements for the project, including recommendations for cost-saving measures, camera and access control system specifications, power and wiring requirements, and project closeout documentation. The college is seeking to upgrade security entry locks, cameras, and other hardware campus-wide to enhance safety for employees and students. All existing equipment must be replaced with new hardware and software that has a minimum useful life of 10 years. The project does not fall under the Davis-Bacon wage schedule, and the college currently uses the Alertus Technologies system, which must be compatible with any proposed solutions.
Regarding pricing and other terms, the addendum specifies that all change orders will be processed through Interscope, and the winning bidder must have a user role to do so. The college requests a service and maintenance agreement for the camera and access control systems, with a 2-hour response time for reported issues. Contractors are required to provide all necessary labor, including the removal of existing equipment, patching, and disposal, as well as ensure proper functioning of handicap door controllers. The college will handle any repairs to faulty doors before the work begins.
