About this file
This document appears to be a set of battery specifications for the 54th Operations Support Squadron (54 OSS). The 54 OSS requires replacement batteries for their range scoring systems and cameras, as the current batteries are over 8 years old. The new batteries must have a capacity of 5700-amp hours, operate between -40°F to +122°F, meet or exceed ISO 9001:2000 requirements, and be single cell modules for easier transport. This is for a remote site with minimal facilities, and the battery array will be tied to a solar array on site.
The related federal contract opportunity is for "Long Haul Batteries" that meet the attached specifications. The solicitation number is FA480124Q0476, issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The contract will provide the required batteries to support the 54 OSS operations and training for MQ and F16 aircraft.

Text version
The 54th Operations Support Squadron (54 OSS) facilitates training, assist flight leads and assist aircrews in maintaining airspace boundaries. Current batteries are more than 8 years old, and it is imperative to replace them to continue run the range scoring systems and cameras. If not provided, this not only will impact the MQ's and F16 training, will also impact the safety of ground parties. Having the new equipment will help having uninterrupted power system and communication with the Range Operation Center (ROC).
ROC needs batteries with a capacity of 5700-amp hours to satisfy operation systems including communication/data networks, UPS systems for computers and control systems, electrical power generation and distribution systems. Battery array will be tied to the solar array on site and must operate between -40°F to +122°F temperatures, meets or exceeds ISO 9001:2000 requirements, preferably single cell modules to simplify transport, this is a remote site and there are minimal facilities or utilities located at this site.
