STATEMENT OF WORK

EXPANDING SEPRL’S SIEMENS DESIGO CC BAS SYSTEM BY

ADDING CONTROL AND MONITORING OF 8

EXISTING BUILDINGS

SOUTHEAST POULTRY RESEARCH LAB

9/7/2021

GENERAL

SCOPE OF WORK. This contract is located at USNPRC SERPL 934 College Station Road Athens GA, 30605. The contractor will provide the following:

Buildings 13 and 15:

Contractor will provide (4) new PXC compact controllers (1 for each HVAC system) for control and monitoring. The controllers will be rated for outdoor conditions due to the mechanical rooms not being conditioned. The PXC’s will be installed in new controls enclosures and will include a small UPS to protect against short intermittent power loses.

1 enclosure per building for a total of 2. A dedicated 120v power source shall be provided by SEPRL for each enclosure. We will provide wireless communication from the existing Siemens BAS system to the new PXC’s. The following input/output for control and monitoring typical for each HVAC system:

1. Supply fan start/stop/status – DO x 1; DI x 1

2. HVAC system supply air temperature - AI x 1

3. Chicken room space temperature. Locate at relief air hood – AI x 1

4. Relief air damper control – Replace existing actuator and run new conduit and wire to Siemens controller. This includes an outdoor enclosure box for the actuator – AO x 1. (Assume dampers are in good working order. Any cost to repair or replace will be an added cost).

5. Chicken Room space differential air pressure – dP transducer - AI x 1

Building 16 and 17:

Contractor will provide (2) new PXC compact controllers (1 for each building) for monitoring of the 4 Chicken Rooms located in these buildings. The controllers will be rated for outdoor conditions as they will be mounted on the wall on the exterior of the building. We include the following input monitoring typical for each Chicken Room:

1. Relief air temperature – AI x 1

2. Chicken Room space differential air pressure – dP transducer - AI x 1

Buildings 6, 8, 34 and 39:

Buildings B-6, 8, and 39 are currently controlled/monitored by a Circon LON BAS system and have only a few points to monitor. We include monitoring no more than 5 points in each building (temerpatures and pressures). Contractor replace the existing LON controller monitoring the respective points in each of these buildings with a Siemens PXC compact IP controller to monitor these same points. The new controller will be IP based and will include a wireless transmitter/recieiver that will provide communication to the existing Desigo BAS server.

The Circon system monitors and controls a much larger number of points in building 34.

Contractor will integrate to this LON network via a LON to BACnet IP gateway and monitoring approximately 160 points.

Contractor will provide a wireless transmitter/receiver that will provide communication to the existing Desigo server.

General Scope of Work:

Contractor provides controls engineering, material, installation, programming, graphics, trending, remote alarming, checkout, training (onsite owner training 8 hours) and as-built documentation.

Graphics Contractor to provide tabular style graphics for user interface.

Trending, Remote Alarming and Notification Contractor will add critical temperature and pressure trending and alarming to the Desigo system. Will set up critical alarms so they are sent through the existing RENO application to alert SEPRL staff should there be an excursion.

Owner training Contractor will provide 8 hours of onsite owner training upon completion of the project and provide as-built BAS documentation.

PHYSICAL SECURITY. Contractor will be required to follow all USDA physical security and safety rule/regulations.

HOURS OF OPERATION. Normal Hours. The USNPRC is open Monday through Friday from 8am until 4pm except for Government holidays.
