About this file
The document summarizes changes made through 39 amendments to the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) solicitation. Key details include:
-
The BARDA BAA solicits proposals for advanced research and development of medical countermeasures against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats and pandemic influenza. Proposals are accepted in two stages, with submission deadlines of October 31, 2020 for white papers and the same date for full proposals.
-
Through its amendments, the BAA updates areas of interest such as vaccines for Ebola, anthrax and other pathogens; antivirals for smallpox, hemorrhagic fevers and other threats; antibiotics for resistant bacteria; and diagnostics, therapeutics, and devices for influenza, COVID-19, and emerging diseases. It also changes points of contact and extends submission deadlines. The latest amendment suspends submissions outside of COVID-19 responses until further notice.
