About this file
This document contains two Statement of Work (SOW) documents for fire suppression system inspections for the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter BAILEY BARCO. The first SOW details FM-200 fire protection system and cylinder inspections, and the second covers the galley fire suppression system.
The FM-200 system SOW requires inspection and testing of 6 FM-200 cylinders, including a 5-year visual cylinder inspection. The work must be performed by personnel qualified to inspect and repair marine Chemetron Fire Systems, with prior experience in marine fire suppression systems. The maintenance will be completed on 30 December 2025 at the USCG Base in Ketchikan, Alaska. The inspection involves detailed procedures for system testing, including safety precautions, mechanical and electrical switch testing, and replacement of components like fusible links and seals. The maintenance will be overseen by MKC Kyle VanDeven and the Contracting Officer Technical Representative Jason Devin, with strict safety protocols and specific technical requirements outlined in the document.
