140F0621Q0120 High Resolution Imagery Acquisition on U.S. Fish and Wildlife Lands

Statement of Work

Project: High Resolution Imagery Acquisition on 1,000 acres Location: Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge and Detroit Lakes Wetland Management District Project Performance Period: June 16, 2022 – August 15, 2022

Background:

The Detroit Lakes Wetland Management District and Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge Complex (Complex) encompasses over 75,000 acres in northwest Minnesota. Complex staff are investigating the applicability of utilizing remote sensors for the early detection of invasive species in select management units. Invasive species will invade remnant prairie, high quality prairie restorations, fen-like habitats, and borders of freshwater wetlands–all considered high priority habitats of Complex lands in western Minnesota. Due to their rapid rate of spread, potential negative impacts to high priority habitats, and associated human-health hazard for some (wild parsnip), these are priority species for early detection and rapid response.
