U.S Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management California Desert District 22835 Calle San Juan De Los Lagos Moreno Valley, CA 92552-9046
2. Description of supply or service required to meet the agency’s needs.

This contract PR package is a renewal of the Legacy Doc #: L17PX00428
3. The rationale or circumstances for limiting competition.
The San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Department will provide BLM officers with needed law enforcement real time information such as drivers’ licenses, registration, warrants, criminal histories, and officer safety information not currently available at the time of contact with the p.
The Sheriff’s Department will also perform status checks during law enforcement contacts and send back-up sheriff’s deputies when needed. Because of the potential law enforcement back up required only delegated Federal law enforcement officers can meet this need.
Only delegated Federal law enforcement officers are authorized to communicate on San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Office primary frequencies and will conform to the standards and practices used by San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Office. This includes, but is not limited to, the format for notifying dispatch of officer-initiated activity.
